Kempinski Hotel San Lawrenz ★★★★★

Stayed just for a night with my Partner. Everything was exceptional. Upon knowing that it was my Partner's birthday we received a free room upgrade and also a birthday cake. This was beyond what I expected and much appreciated. Breakfast was amazing, and so was the Spa area in which we tried both indoor heated pools.

The water from the shower was changing temperature constantly while using it and without touching the tap.

Fabulous breakfast with a wide choice to suit every need. Spa and indoor pool were great. We were given an upgrade to a room facing the outdoor pools. Room was very comfortable with all the amenities.

One small detail that can easily be remedied. The latch of the terrace door was a bit loose and so it didn't close properly.

The approach of the staff was very welcoming and well trained. The hotel was very comfortable and clean and the spa made all the difference

The decor of the room, very outdated. Hotel needs a refurbishment. Everything was much more expensive

This hotel is a well deserved 5 start hotel the location the rooms and facilities are excellent. The restaurants are also very good especially the service at L-istorja restaurant.

not much to complain. our only issue is that we realized we left some personal items in the room and even though the reception told us that they will communicate to us for arranging postage and relative expenses we have never received followup communication and we never got the items back.

Amazing breakfast, with lots of great, delicious choices. Gardens & pool areas are beautiful.

Rooms need a renovation. Furniture is of an older style & makes the room very dull, at least the one we stayed in (735). With newer, more modern furniture, the spacious rooms would feel so much nicer.

Beautiful hotel with excellent staff, so professional & friendly. The beds are so comfortable & facilities are fantastic. Our 2nd visit and already looking forward to our next one!

Pool area is to die for

Policies aren’t always enforced. The “adults only” pool, where diving isn’t allowed, was full of kids diving into the pool :( and no one stopped them, which is a shame since the rest of the experience was absolutely perfect.

Considering we stayed at the hotel during the time following a pandemic the staff took great care to ensure all guests could feel safe moving around the hotel. The three pool areas look great and help unwind even during very short stays. Staff was very helpful and courteous.

We booked a one bedroom apartment which included a kitchen. More cookware could be made available although to be fair all the basics were there.

Everything. The room, the pools, the food amd the beautiful gardens. Would definitely visit again.

The WiFi in the room is way too weak.

Living locally, I will definitely return. The atmosphere was great, ease of check in and check out. We got a free upgrade for my wife's birthday, nice touch. Ladies in Red organised flowers to the room for my wife, another nice touch. A cake was also organised by the hotel which was appreciated.

It's the small detail; 2 phones one broken, TV not working on arrival, pull out bed for daughter had no linen, had to make it myself. When I told housekeeping about the TV I was told to go tell reception myself, not in a rude way but not very 5 star service. I also didnt like the way a maintenace man, I presume, he had no name tag or uniform, told me my daughter was not welcome in the middle pool since it's only for 'residents, members and adults'... as a paying resident this was confusing. Furthermore the enforcement was very inconsistent with many other families enjoy this area with their kids. Attention to detail: while the staff were very friendly, there were several moments when we asked for something and it never happened or was done incorrectly... as an example my wife is vegetarian and request Eggs Benedict with the ham and sauce on the side, three attempts later it was still served up with ham and incorrectly. Another was the follow up of staff in checking for a spare phone charger, I am still waiting for that feedback. Having worked in 5 star hotels and complete many duty manager shifts, I have to say the warmth, politeness and friendliness of the staff was 5 star.. I think the property failed in consistency of delivery to 5 star standards. The delivery of a complimentary cake for my wifes birthday was nice however it was delivered to the room 5 mins after we arrived, Even though I deliberately booked dinne that evening! Where was the emotional awareness to bring the cake out at dinner with a candle, so my daughter could sing happy birthday! The moment went from being a fun, memorable opportunity with a surprise birthday cake with singing and candles to simply being handed a cake!! Too many 5 star moments lost...

Stuff is excellent trained and they were extremely polite.

I ordered a cocketail with no alchool and Unfortunately I got one very alcoholic, the mistake was not made at the bar but from the waitress

Outdoor area is exceptional. Hotel super tidy. Room fully equipped Breakfast was good.

TV in our room was old and outdated therefore picture quality was poor. I do not expect to have an old tv in a 5 star hotel.
